WILL HE SEE HIS SHADOW?

Will he see his shadow?

Or crawl back into his den.

Will his pointless prediction,

Become a welcome trend?

Sure we hope for spring,

To come in without delay;

Bringing rain in April

And flowers here in May;

But aren’t we being silly?

Of a rodent’s witty guess;

Thinking his prediction;

Will bring us happiness?

The ground hog’s tradition,

From years ago has come,

To be a very special day,

For people to have fun;

The famous ground hog,

Called Punxsutawney Phil;

Has never been wrong,

Let’s hope he never will.
